AHH! My Ford Fiesta is a 1996 Lx model. I have a spare tire in the boot of the car, but I want it in the compartment underneath the boot because otherwise I have no boot space!
Now, I thought I lifted up the carpet bit, then a steel/metal (of some description) cover and pop the spare tire in. Well, it appears that my Fiesta wants to be all inverted 9or something) as it has a bolt on the inside and the 'spare tire compartment' is UNDERNEATH the car.
I cannot get the bolt off, I took it to a car garage but they didn't want to snap it!
If I get it off, I might not be able to get it back on (with the weight of the tire) then I wont be able to drive (as it'll be dragging on the floor!)
Has anyone had this problem? Have you fixed it? If so, how? AND can you get replacement 'spare tire compartments' and where from?
Thank you!!!
