OK, so my friends we will call her X has been riding for a year in July. She has been riding the same 30 year old 14 hh pony the whole time. She still doesn't know her diagonals, and only canters if she got her diagonals, and did everything right for the whole lesson. At my barn we have 3 trainers we will call them A,B, and C. 2 are good, one is bad. A and B are the good trainers, and she trains with C. She is starting lessons with the best trainer at the barn (A) once the weather gets nicer. The problem isn't money, trust me! She has only rode one horse, doesn't have diagonals, and barely canters. She also plays soccer, but is quitting and taking up field hockey. She wants to get a horse in the next year or two, but she rides on Monday and Tuesday, and sometimes rides on Saturday. Once she starts with A, she will be riding on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday/Saturday. She always asks me to watch her lessons, because I either am free riding, or have a lesson after hers. So, how do I tell her (when she asks) that she still is a beginner, and she really isn't good (AT ALL) after almost a year of riding?

Sorry it is an essay, thanks anyways! :)
