i have a mitsubishi medallion 65" 1080i hdtv. it will be on for a couple hours...

...and then it will shut off.? it will be on for a hour or two and then it will completely shut off. i try turning it back on and the light by the power button will turn green and u hear a clicking sound in the back and then it clicks again and the light goes off and the tv doesn't turn on. what is the problem and how do i fix it?
 
How old is your Set ? Did this problem crop up all at once, or was it just a gradual thing that got worse with time ? If so, it just might be some of the main Filter Capacitors in the Power Supply.If you can do some Soldering, try replacing all of the Main, Large Capacitors.That should amount to less than $20.Or you could just price a new Power Supply Board.If you take it to a Repair Shop it will probably cost more than the set's worth to Repair.Hope this Helps !
