I have a prepaid plan with Rogers, but it doesn't have the long distance feature.?

Right now I have a prepaid phone plan with Rogers, but it doesn't include any long distance minutes feature. I was just wondering if I were to buy a long distance card and activate it on the same cellphone, would it cost me any money other than the value on the long distance card (such as the minutes on my prepaid phone plan)?
