Hi. I was driving to college yesterday and suddenly a sound came from the back of the car like a metal ( clunk noise). and after that, theres this noise comming from the back right wheel like a metal is rotating and touching the rim. but the sound goes away as soon as you put your foot on the brake. i tried to look under the car but their is nothing broken. Can anyone help me.

You might be able to save the cost of new brake drums if you have the wheel and drum removed right away. Some cars have rear brake rotors. If you have drum type rear brakes, a spring may have come loose or the parking brake mechanism may be loose. I'd avoid the national franchised brake centers and find a local independent general repair shop below. If you end up getting new rear brake shoes and the old drums can be machined, the total cost is about $140.
