I have been given a Tomtom One XL satnav by a user of freecyclebin.com. However, i dont have a power lead. It has the code N14644 marked on it. On the bottom of it there is a mini-usb socket and an SD card slot. In between these there's a round socket. What i dont know is how the satnav is powered. Is it powered by the mini usb or the round socket? I've read that possibly older version use a round socket for power and latter versions are powered via the mini-usb. When i connect the satnav to my laptop using a usb to mini-usb lead the green light on the front (bottom left) flashes once briefly brightly and then stays lit but dimly. The satnav wont switch on and I have tried using a pin to reset it but it still wont power up. Is this model satnav powered by the mini-usb or is it an older model and is powered by the round socket? Or, has this satnav got the so-called green light problem that is common to tomtom's? Any help would be much appricated. Any advice on what model/version satnav I have would also be a great help. Thanks in advance.
