I have a unlocked storm2 9550 from verizon to T-Mobile, can I still have 3G?

I have a BlackBerry Storm2 9550 and it's unlocked from Verizon. It works fine, but I want to know since it's unlocked from Verizon to T-Mobile will only EDGE work and not 3G?
The BlackBerry Storm2 9550 under Verizon HAS A SIM CARD SLOT. They're unlock-able for T-Mobile. I'm using it now for T-Mobile and it's working just fine.
