I have video files ending in .vep4 and they wont upload onto the internet, help...

...please? i used my hypercam to record a video then i used AVS video editor 4 to edit it, but when i tried to upload it to youtube it said it was invalid and my file ended in .vep4 then i tried to change the file to .avi but then it just would say that the file was invalid and it ended like this .vep4.avi so if you could help me i would really appreciate it :]
