I just bough a pack of DVD-RW discs, it says the speed is 4x.....?

So how fast is 4x and let's say i had a hour to burn on to it, how long would that take? Thanks for your help.
(A hour of video from a vhs to the disc)

It should just take a few minutes to burn files to it. Maybe like 5 or 10 minutes, depends on how much data you are writing.

4x is a slow speed in today's world. look at the side of your CD/DVD Drive and see what the max speed it can handle. Most drives can now handle about 16x (4 times the speed of those disks)
