I'm only 16, and just found out that a close friend self harms, she was so upset when she told me, but I am really glad that she did - because I want to try and help her; but, i'm scared because she said she does not know if she will be able to stop.
I'm not sure why she does it, because she has a great family - and our friends have always been a tight knit group. She only told us after one of our other friends confronted her, and asked her if the scratches on her arm were actually made by her cat.
I really don't know what to do, so any help would be appreciated.
