I just got a ps3 and can only get Dolby Digital sound from the games and not from

BlueRay movies. Why is this? If it matters...I hooked up the system to my LCDtv with a HDMI cable and ran an optical cable to my Onkyo 5.1 surround receiver.
 
In the menu on the DVD, you have to go to audio and change it to DD 5.0.
