...CURE cerebral palsy, is it possible At first I thought it was only theory, but then I found something that said a young boy had been cured with his own umbilical cord blood, I don't have many details, but the specific story involved Barac Obama somehow. I was wondering if anyone new any details. I know it's not a reliable source but I saw a the mother of the child mentioned speaking on a youtube video as well as a supposed doctor talking about what has been done(using rats as examples). My specific questions are does it need to be your own cord blood in order for the supposed procedure to work and is it only possible in very young children, not long after birth. I have cerebral palsy, but I'm seventeen and don't think mt umbilical cord was saved . It only effects me physically in my legs. I play football for my school, but it is very difficult for me. I would nothing more than to be able to walk and move with the effortlessness of those without cerebral palsy, I would do anything for it. Thanks again. List sources please
I'm also unsure how scar tissue would be involved, that might be why is would have to be done recently after birth, I have scar tissue so I don't know if this has anything to do with this. If you've heard anything else about treatment that may eventually cure cp, or is it a lost hope. I've had a baclofen pump put in, but youcan always make improvements.
