I mailed my phone back to Bell Mobility and now they are charging me for it!?

So after numerous calls to Bell for months upon months explaining that the Blackberry Pearl I received was broken, they finally agreed to send me a new phone & explained a pre-paid postage package would be sent with the new phone for me to return my old phone in.

I waited about 45 days before receiving my new phone (they said they were on back-order) and mailed my phone back to them... Now my cellphone service has been cut off because the man on the phone says I never returned my old cellphone. There is a charge on my bill for $399.00 and my service will not be restored until I pay this charge.

This is bull crap... How can they charge me for this!? I didn't keep any proof from Canada Post (I should have sent it via registered mail - I am kicking myself in the butt now!) but it would cost me the same price to cancel my contract... Should I just bite the bullet and be done with them?? I am sick and tired of waiting on hold 30-45 mins just to talk to someone anytime after 5:00pm, tired of the lousy service...

When I first got the Pearl I was offered an unlimited Blackberry plan for $50/mnth then got hounded by them for months telling me that the plan I was offered doesn'teven exist and I would have to pay $90/mnth... After I had already signed a 3 year cotnract to get the $50/mnth plan. I can't stand this company anymore!
