I need help with my Ethernet LAN internet connection. Can someone help?

OK. Here it goes......... I connected a 5 port router to my Cable Modem to pass internet connection between my 2 computers. I Connected one of the computers to the router and it looks like theInternett connection works fine at 100Mbpss. When I connected the second computer to the router it does not connect to the internet. It says its connected to the network and speed of 100Mbpss but the only problem is when i click on internet explorer it does not work. It just says that there is no connection, I dont get how it detects the Ethernet connection but it does not connect to the internet. Do i have to setup like the IP Adress and all that stuff on it? If so how do i do that? Someone please help me.
