i need help with my laptop?

im having trouble with it staying on like it will go into sleep mode im assuming and then when i click the mouse or a key it doesnt come back on and i have to turn the power off and on for it to come on and also i recently installed windows 8 pro and i cant play dvds on my laptop now so is there anyone that can help me?
 
check to make sure you have the correct drivers --- microsoft has a compatibility scan you should have run before installing win8 pro
please next time you ask a question in this nature give us you pc model and last OS. that saves us from guessing on our answer
