I write a lot, and I would like to put it on my computer like the normal person. I actually write faster and better on the computer. I don't have the money to buy Microsoft word, I'm 15, I don't get any allowance, so what should I do. (oh and don't say get a job, I am going to save that until im 16 and have a lisence, and can drive myself.)

Try Open Office. You can open Word documents and save to Word formats for other people to open (though it's not perfect). No, it's not as good as Word, but it's free and it's compatible. It's by Sun Microsystems, so it's also pretty good quality.

Crispy has given you excellent advice. Open Office is a great program; any files you've done on MSWord or Microsoft Works will open nicely in the program.

The on-line support is great, too. It's real tempting to overload yourself with the extras they offer, but you get to choose how you set it up.

Go for it.

There are many free programs that you can use. This page alone has three: Open Office, Libre Office and AbiWord. Keep writing and good luck!
