So many questions. First physical stuff -- 1. Are you pregnant, by any chance? Pregnant women tend to experience such things as night terrors slightly more often than the general population. 2. Do you take high doses of supplements? Particularly B vitamins? B-6 is know for causing extremely vivid and unpleasant dream s if taken in too high a quantity or too late in the day. 3. Do you have a lot of stress, PARTICULARLY financial stress, in your life? Dreams such as you describe frequently accompany financial stresses, because you are "BOUND" by your financial obligations, and you know it. Do all that you can to clear those obligations, and you will be less prone to such terrors, as you will be "actively" working to free yourself. 4. Do you have a church family, OR Christian friends who can pray for you, and your needs, and anoint you and/or your home and pray? If you do, ask them to do so. 5. Most human beings have a "built-in" aversion to the presence of "danger" and while they are sleeping especially. One of my kids was having a horrible time with chronic insomnia in his own apartment, but anytime he came home, he could crash within minutes. We tried a whole bunch of stuff over the course of the next year.. Lots of familiar stuff from home (including the quilt off his bed, and his childhood teddy bear.) New locks, earlier rising time, more morning sunshine, Black out curtains, a new bed, more physical activity, different sheets, new air filters on the vents and a/c, melatonin, valerian, tylenol p.m., a bunch of stuff. Much of it worked a little bit -- nothing worked entirely or for very long!! Couldn't figure it out. Then, one day, he happened to mention (for the first time ever!!) that his roomie was keeping their 14 foot "pet" python's tank in my kid's room in the apartment.. My first comment was "NO WONDER YOU CAN'T SLEEP!!!" They moved the snake out of the room, and he did much better. 6. How is your relationship with your bf? How does he treat your night terrors? Is he adversarial to your recent interest in the Bible and spiritual things? Have you been fighting a lot lately? Have you been suspecting him of cheating or anything like that? Anybody else giving you a whole lot of difficulty in life? Reason I ask, is because your night terrors indicate the presence of one OR MORE someone(s)/something(s) that you perceive as EXTREMELY "adversarial" to you in your own life. You need to IDENTIFY those, set about DECIDING what to do them, and START doing it. (Chronic procrastinators can also tend to experience more night terrors and bad dreams.) Edit: Forgot one -- have you had any "big" changes in your circumstances lately? A big "downward" move, maybe back home, or lost a job, lost a loved one, a friend, or some combination? Edit again: Another thing -- have your thyroid checked as well. Could be affecting your ability to sleep normally..
