Depends on the mileage of the car. You aren't going to get a lot for a 9 year old car. I would fix it and drive the wheels off it. You probably have another year or so left to pay it off so chances are, if you are maintaining the vehicle, it'll keep running for another 5 years in which after wards you can throw it away
