I live in a townhouse in Michigan. Our lease is up the end of next month. I wanted to have a moving sale in our basement before we move out. Is that legal? There is nothing about it in our lease that says we can or we can't. I would call the office but they are not that nice and I think they will say "no" no matter if it's legal or not. I wouldn't put up signs all over. I would just put it on craigslist.com and in the paper and put a sign on the door. So has anyone had a moving sale in a townhouse or apartment? Are there any consequences?
