...old 1 but its been blocked? 2 months ago i lost my nokia n85 which i loved on a night out, i rang my insurance who replaced it and blocked my old one, as it was still able to use all the menu functions just not ring out i got a phone call from the taxi company telling me the taxi driver had handed it in to them and i picked it up,i really want to keep the old phone as a spare but im unsure if there is any way i can get it unblocked? can anybody help?
 
Call and ask your insurance company after all it is their property now but they are highly unlikely to want it back.
 
It doesn't belong to you, it belongs to the insurance company. You should contact them and hand it in or you've committed theft.

Once the phone has been blocked it;s blocked for good all over the world unless you can crack it and insert a new IMEI, this act is also illegal in many parts of the world including the UK
 
if its been blocked, i wud imagine, u wont be able to unblock it, and wont be able to use it here in UK... but it certainly will be usable any other part of the world though
 
Throw it away. If you do try and get it unblocked the insurance company might think you've put in a fraudulent claim. Its not worth the risk.
