it's usually very fast because I have DSL but then lately it's been acting really weird, I'd get disconnected more often and I can tell that the speed is actually slower than normal because I go on youtube and usually I can watch HQ without any interruptions but now I have to wait for my videos to load. I don't have a password for my wireless internet I don't know how to set one up. When I browse though the wireless connections that are around me they all have a lock on it but mine doesn't. Is there anyway that I can fix this problem? Thanks for reading!

You didnt say what router you are using for your wireless connection. Find your manual and it will help you. Google the exact product number and name if you lost your manual.

This is coming from a very experienced person. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME. Here is how you fix it. First. Do you have a wireless router? If so find the brand and go to this website: http://www.routerpasswords.com/. Find your router on the site and write down it's user name and password. Then, click start/Accessories/command prompt. A black window will appear. Type: ipconfig. Find your "DEFAULT GATEWAY." Open an internet explorer page and type your default gateway. Normally a page with your router brand will appear. Type in your user name and password. Minimize that window. Open control panel. Find system OR click Remote access. and find the computer name tab. Open it. Find "Full Computer name" Remember it. Open back up your internet explorer window. Click settings and find Enable MAC address. Find your computer name from the list an click save your router will restart. You now have encryption and no one can steal your wireless any longer.

PS. You can also set up a WEP key, but I don't recommend it because it willl slow your connection.
