I unlocked my iphone 3g... searching?

At the top where the t-mobile would normally be, it says searching. Did I do something wrong? What do i do?
I upgraded to 3.1 but then i downgraded to 3.0. firmware is at 05.11.07. I need this phone unlocked. Do i need to upgrade to 3.0.1 to getr it unlocked?

if you upgraded to firmware os 3.1 then you have upgraded your modem firmware that cant be unlocked.when you unlock your phone, it goes in to search mode but cant find anything.

just uninstall ultrasn0w from cydia and it should be back to normal.

or try another sim.

I'm thinking it's because you downgraded from a 3.1 to 3.0. To unlock, you will have to wait as you already upgraded to 3.1 when you should not have. you have to upgrade to 3.1 with special firmware to be able to unlock.
