Mac in Unix under the hood, so you have a whole world of free wares... Try clamXav. That's the mac port of ClamAV.

While what you say about macs and viruses is true. They can get them, and you should have protection, with mac it more important to keep your app wares patched properly. Make sure you have the latest flash and java, and the all of the updates and all that. A majority of the routes in to a Macintosh are still via unpatched exploits, or via the user themselves. The nice thing about the way macs work, is that if you DO get a cootie, it can't really effect more than a few things, and its easy to get rid of with time machine.
