I want to build iPad Apps, Where should I start?

I am building my own Independent study for school and I would like to learn how to code iPad apps! My problem is finding a guide that can take me from knowing nothing about coding whatsoever to an amateur app developer. I have almost NO experience in coding, but I am a quick learner. Can anybody push me in the right direction?
I am aware of the iTunes registration, haha. My school is paying that fee!

You have to be using a Mac computer. Sign up to be a iPhone developer. I heard the language is objective C, so it's a language similar to C. Learn that first. Or look at tutorials
