i want to make a dvd using pics with music any good programs?

my son is going to the military i want to make a dvd that i can play at his going away party of pictures of him throughout his life ...i cant find a program that will also play on the dvd player
 
you can use windows movie maker then burn it to a cd. adobe premiere is better though if you are willing to spend $70 it will look a lot better.. read the manual first or you might be a little bit lost..
 
Windows Movie Maker...or if you want to be really good then go with Vegas Movie Studio.
