I want to wear crutches or boot cast but dont think i need it! HELP?

the inner part of my tibia hurts when i walk and run. its a sharp pain. its walkable but hurts bad when i run. am i making worse when i run? i stopped running for 2wks and the pain in still there.dont think i need a cast do you? BUT...... i wanna get a cast and use crutches.how do i convince the doc?please! i really want one or the other
