The driver should be insured and the insurance should cover passengers. Call the driver and get this information before your credit is ruined by the hospital bill.

...should pay my hospital bill right? the driver was 19 she was driving wrecklessly i was seat belted, but still injured. we went to the hospital, i had an x-ray cat scan and MRI i was covered by staywell healthy kids, but her insurance should have paid the bill right? i keep getting a bill for $700 thats soon to be sent to a collection agency.. i can't afford to pay a bill for someone elses mistake.

Car insurance is not the same as health insurance. It does provide coverage for medical bills related to an accident in most cases -- but it is a completely different animal from health insurance. How it works is different in each state.

So - you will need to call the adjuster that is handling the claim. If you are still under 18, the insurance company will have to deal with your parents -since you are not a legal adult. If you are over 18, then you can handle the matter yourself.

Just call the adjuster handling the claim. They will explain the process to you and walk you through it.

You may have to get a lawyer and file a lawsuit against the driver. if you can't afford a lawyer get one that will take you case and get paid only if you win the lawsuit.did you file a police report? if you didn't the lawyer will tell you what to do to get your bills paid.I would do this ASAP
.

If you were in her car as a passenger, she is defualted by payment of your medical bills, by her insurance co. Ask a lawyer for further info, not here dear.
