I was told I don't seem interested in dating?

It couldn't be any further from the truth. I asked how I don't seem interested and was answered with idk, and then later: it's cause I don't talk about women. Why would I talk about other women in front of a girl who I think is pretty hot and may be interested in? The thing is I've had a close guy say that I didn't seem all that focused on women either, so it's starting to bug me. How can I seem interested in dating, to fix this apparent not interested in dating thing?
And do you know of anyone who doesn't seem interested in dating, what do they do that makes it seem that way?
 
She meant you don't seem interested in dating her probably but if you keep showing her that you are interested then she will change her tune. The guy friend is probably just jealous of you or possibly gay.
