The DVR systems vary from place to place. When you call to cancel, ask to speak to the technicians. They can tell you. In my brother's case, the answer was no. In my friend's case, yes.
 
Can I still use my DVR system to record TV shows from my off air antena? Already have digital converter box. Please, only legal options. I don't want to by any illegal equipment. Thank you
 
I don't know if it is technically possible, don't know if it records from the satellite feed or from the tv. If it is physically possible I don't believe it would be illegal.
