...home...feel so bad how can I tell her? She was supposed to get the keys tomorrow and move in November 1st. Now I need the home as I had an issue with my job and need to live there, how can I tell her without getting upset? she did not sign a contract yet, but I am sure she told her tenant she was moving out and getting ready to pack..

No contract then you have no problem................you tell her asap that your circumstanses have changed and the vacancy is no longer available.....................................

You can be as nice as you want to but she is going to get pissed no matter what you say. Renting is a business. This person is not your friend. You don't owe her anything but to be polite.

If she has paid any deposits or anything you need to refund it.
