just do this

multiply your weight by 12
then subtract 500
that's the amount of calories you would have to eat to lose 1 lb. a week
then burn off another 500 calories by exercising and you will lose 2 lbs. a week

which is healthy weight loss
it would be very hard to lose 15 to 20 pounds a month(and also not so healthy)
and keeping it off would be hard to
