i9 (iphone clone) to use with verizon sim?

hi... does anyone know if it would be possible to use my verizon sim card with an i9? I heard about the i9 and started looking it up online and thought it was pretty cool. I have a verizon blackberry but really want an iphone. I heard verizon is gonna come out with an iphone later this year but not sure when. My contract is up in june or july and was planning to upgrade or change to the iphone ONLY if this is true. But after researching and watching utube videos about the i9, i thought the i9 would be good for me because it's cheaper!!! And it seemed to be almost exactly like the $200/$300/$500 Apple version. I guess I could just get the "real thing" but I'd rather save the extra hundreds.

But I've only seen headlines for it like "Unlocked AT&T" or "Unlocked T-Mobile." My Blackberry is with Verizon. If anyone knows if I would be able to use my verizon account on an i9 or how the "unlocked" deal works, please let me know. Thanks so much....

Unfortunately it isn't possible. ATT & T-Mobile are on what is known as the GSM network while verizon is still on the CDMA network. This makes the hardware for one company incompatible with the other. Because ATT & T-Mobile are on the same type of network, phones made for the GSM network can be unlocked to be used with either of those 2 companies and other GSM providers overseas but not for companies like Verizon or Sprint.

Sorry for the bad news,
