if a blood clot travels through your heart where does it go?

what happens if a blood clot goes through ur heart but u dont die would u feel pain and for how long?

where would the clot go?
 
The clot can go many places, for instance in the leg/chest/brain and so you can get a DVT/PE/Clot in the brain.

Therefore, you could die quickly depending on where it is. If it is in the leg, then you will experience pain and swelling of the leg, PE in the chest shortness of breath plus pain. If it goes straight to the brain generally, you dont feel any pain and can kill you instantly.
