The clot can go many places, for instance in the leg/chest/brain and so you can get a DVT/PE/Clot in the brain.
Therefore, you could die quickly depending on where it is. If it is in the leg, then you will experience pain and swelling of the leg, PE in the chest shortness of breath plus pain. If it goes straight to the brain generally, you dont feel any pain and can kill you instantly.
