If a cell phone is bluetooth compatible, can you transfer ringtones and stuff?

If it says it is compatible with bluetooth can you still send songs and stuff like that or do you have to get somthing special for it

yes if both phones are compatible with sending music and stuff because don't think it will always work. i have done it with many phones and after the transfer it would say this phone isn't compatible with such file. it works almost all the time if it two same phones though.
