I am a shift leader for a company and it is my job when closing to make sure that all the freezer doors are shut. About a week before V-day I woke one morning o find out that the freezer door was left cracked the night before and everything melted. Now I couldn't remember if I checked it or not. I think I did but I didn't argue. I assumed I had forgotten and accepted it and apologized. Nothing came of it.

A week later (this past sunday) I wake to find another message saying it happened again. But this time along with everything melting the freezer is broke! Now I know for a fact the night before it was closed when I left the night before. Since the first time it happened I've been extra careful about it.

My boss and the owner believe that becasue it was left open this led it to brake. Which is possible but...

Im wondering is it possible that it broke in the middle of the night causing it to lose the pressure to keep it closed then everything melted?
