If Blu-Ray came from DVDs, why are there still videocassettes?

video cassettes come from a different branch of evolution.
dvds evolved from vinyl disks

I still have a VCR and videocassettes left, I would be lost without these things not everything is now on DVD. Besides DVDs came from CDs and video cassettes came from cassettes so seperate things.
 
we have to leave them out for the christians, cause it takes them time to catch up. and to see if its ok with thier bible
