If Christ died and paid the penalty for our sins, can those who believe in him sin freely without going to hell? This is a serious question by the way. What is our responsibility as Christians to hold even after all our sin has been paid for?

Christ died for our sins so we could repent and ask for forgivenees. Repent means to turn away from your sins and find a better way of living. So no, you surely can't sin freely. If you believe in him you shouldn't want to sin freely when Christ will forgive your sins. If you spend your life thinking you can sin freely your going to have problems because theres no reason for anyone to live like that. This may help you too http://users.aristotle.net/~jgj/Mar_4_Jesus_Forgives_Our_Sins.htm

Forgiveness of sins is not automatic, the sinner has to repent and sincerely amend his ways so that he does not commit the same sin again. If repentance is not sincere, the sin is not forgiven and the sinner goes to hell even if the grace for the forgiveness of his sin has already been procured by Christ.

Jesus died for our sins. This means now if you sin you can ask for forgiveness if you truly feel sorry for it. You can't just sin and ask for forgiveness. You have to truly regret it.

Okay.
So. God gave his only son up to pay for every sin that man kind will ever do in our entire exsistance. This means God already knows what we are going to do before we even know we are going to do it. This does not mean you can do a free for all sin party. It means he already knows what you are and arn't going to do, and if your going to even consider doing it. You should still repent for what sins you have done and thank Jesus for dying for our sins even though we wern't born yet.

it means those who come to Him accept the rights the rights to be part of the family of God.

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

If a person opted to be part of the family of God, he/she must be holy like God, Christ Jesus. 1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

So, does it qualifies someone to be part of the family of God if they wilfully keep sinning?

christ didn't die for you. you can do whatever you want. sin's don't exist. there is no right and wrong. the universe doesn't care about you.

If you are truly a Christian you won't go to hell.

But . . .

If you are mature and love your mother, will you mess up the house and then watch her clean it up? No. You would keep it clean and maybe even help her. If you are a Christian then you love Christ. If you love Christ will you purposefully go out and sin to increase his suffering? No. You will do everything you can to please Jesus because you love him and don't want him to suffer. Right?

If someone says they are a Christian and make no effort to not sin, it makes me wonder if they are really a Christian or just a hypocrite.

Just my thought.

Perhaps if everyone in the world commits enough 'sin' God will feel that another payment is required and we will have Jesus sent down to die again - it's about time there was some evidence of God provided (unverifiable 2000 year old personal accounts don't count).

Before Christ died, we were ALL doomed to hell. He paid the penalty, making it easier for us to excess heaven, meaning when we sin, repent with a sincere heart, He forgives. We are also warned that the wages of sin is death and we still have to obey the 10 commandments.

No if you a Christian you are supposed to try not to sin. The idea in the bible is that people were not able to go to heaven for a long time. Then jesus comes along clears the sin and people get out of purgatory and go to heaven.

Check out the scriptures concerning the dog returning to his vomit, or that without holiness no one will see God.
