then how did we get from the stone age to looking at the earth in 5,000 years so fast? I mean if it took 4.5 billion years to get the world to where it is now, how did we develop so fast from not knowing that the sun actually aids in plant growth to knowing the sun is 93 million miles away and we now have the ability to run cars and air conditioners with its power???
 
Increasingly mechanized agriculture freed up more and more people to do things other than gather food.
