If I buy a smartphone off ebay, can I activate it under my current 2-year contract?

I bought a droid off ebay that says it comes with a 2-year contract. I am currently in a Verizon 2-year contract, so can I activate the new droid without affecting my current contract? Thanks.

Yes you can. Just keep in mind that the phone wont have any kind of warranty, is ineligible for insurance, and its always a possibility that you purchased a stolen phone so in the future, get the ESN from the seller before you buy and confirm it with Verizon
