If I download a game from XBOXLIVE marketplace (think San Andreas)?

I only have the month long Gold subscription for XBOX360, and honestly I don't plan to renew it. If I buy San Andreas through the marketplace, will it be unplayable after the subscription ends? Or will it be in my hard drive and I'll have no problem with it? It was my favorite game on PS2, and I've really had a hankering to play it since I never got a chance to beat it (PS2 crapped out on me and ate the disc. Yeah, I know, I almost cried)

it will still be installed on your hard drive, when you install games on your xbox you don't need a gold membership to play them so do not worry about it.
 
The Xbox Live Marketplace is a completely free service, but the online play is what you pay for. You could access the Xbox Live Marketplace with a Silver account and buy anything you want.

Simple answer: No it will not, you will still have and be able to play the game after your subscription ends.
