If I get a 720p TV, will it be able to play Blu-Ray?

I realize it would only be at 720p, and not 1080p. I just want to know if blu-ray has to have a 1080p tv to play or not.

If you have a 42' TV or higher you wouldnt really notice the difference between the two unless you were sitting right up close. Blu-Ray can display 720p, 1080i and 1080p. It should look great
