Every so often, I hear somebody claim that Jesus Christ never existed . If Jesus Christ never existed, why did my History professor at my university tell us about him ? He wasn't and evangelist and he didn't claim Jesus Christ was a supernatural character or a mythical person . He talked about him just like he would any other historical figure . Why would a History professor cover a mythical figure ? Thank you in advance for your answers .
My question was only concerned about Jesus Christ's existence . Who his father was and if he was able to work miracles is beside the point .

Jesus' ability to create miracle answers to our prayers is hardly " beside the point".He obviously could not enter our lives in response to our prayers if He did not currently exist.:damn fly:

Because it has traditionally been assumed that Jesus did actually exist, even though the actual evidence is hearsay, at best.

I'm personally agnostic as to the historicity of Jesus, and see it as rather a moot point. Whether the mythological character of Jesus was based on a real person (or persons) has no effect on the fact the followers of the mythology of the ancient Middle East will pretend he magically exists.

God who was born on earth AGAIN (John 16 v 28 & Deuteronomy 29 v 2 & 6) was named Jesus. Many times' He was born before & after that body. Atheists' don't believe, christians' won't believe. Both are wrong.
Good for your history proffessor but God is sick of hearing how He just came once. The rest of the times' including today ignored, just because four people wrote about one life.
