If Jesus was the real Messiah why did God forsake him at the cross Matthew 15:34?

According to Matthew 15:34 it states...

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

You had the Pharisees denouncing Jesus as the messiah. Now we have God Yahweh himself forsaken Jesus.

If Jesus was the real "foretold messiah" why would God Yahweh forsake him?
