what does this imply? That we were created by a loving God that cares about us? Or that we evolved by purely naturalistic processes?

Purely naturalistic processes. If the bible is the inerrant word of god, then the geological record would correspond. It doesn't, and once someone has to explain the bible to mean other than what it says, they are using conjecture and proving that it isn't the word of god.

this is the argument. though your facts are wrong, homo sapiens are the only humans. previous man like species are reffered to as homonids, not humans. you have to make this descision for yourself, learn as much as you can about religion and evolution. keep in mind, that according to evolutionists, hominids are not the only species that lost most of it's ancestors. it has happened to most species.
 
By the very fact that all types of Species are extinct proves they weren't created by a loving God.
