If Republicans are "pro-life", then why do they whine because they aren't

allowed to own machine guns? Is it hypocritical to say you are "pro life" and then get mad because the government won't let you own a machine gun or rocket launcher?
PS - I'm a liberal Democrat and I own a shotgun, a hunting rifle and three handguns. But I have no need or desire to own a machine gun. The 2nd Amendment does not give us the absolute right to own any weapon whatsoever.

I'm a Democrat and I live in New Orleans. And you are allowed to own a machine gun if you get an NFA license. I personally own several weapons classified as assualt weapons which are nothing more than semi-automatic rifles. I am greatful Louisiana puts no restrictions on them

Why do I own these weapons.....because I live in New Orleans, Louisiana. We live in an area that stayed dry in Katrina and most of my neighbors knowing that stayed. We ended up on guard duty that night defending our property against the unwashed hordes that came out of the ghetto sections of the city.

When criminals stop committing violent crimes against civilians I'll give up my guns and not until then

...why are you Liberals such Idiots..whats up with all these dumb liberal questions tonight

i'm a pro choice (and pro second amendment) democrat. the right to choose and the right to bear arms are two entirely different issues.

Good question! Guess some believe that once all those non-aborted children whom they whine about having to pay taxes to support via welfare may cross their lawns.

The Machine gun isn't meant to be used against people unless a person has broken into your home. An abortion is meant to kill. There is a substantial difference.

Why are democrats for individual freedom but against local control?

I'm pro abortion, pro gay marriage.

But I am ALSO pro machine gun! What does that make me? a Dempublican? A Libervative?

How many crimes are committed by machine gun anyway?

No, they are fun on a shooting range. (At least they look to be, and it is actually my son who is drooling for one once he is old enough.) I would only use one in real life in self defense in which case pro life positions are irrelevant.

No. But then again, not all Republicans believe in unrestricted gun laws.

These weapons would be used in order to defend themselves.
