Jesus made it clear that our faith must result in service.

Luke 14:25-27

25 Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, WIFE and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. :applause:

Jesus said to Nicodemus, "you must be born again". So, those that make it into the Lamb's Book of Life are those that have been born again.

To answer your question, it is hard for me to imagine that if someone has been born again, has tasted of the peace of God through the Holy Spirit, has been enlightened and come into a relationship with God would not have their life changed.

Works do not save us, but James (I believe) was trying to say that faith without works is dead because "that's not the saving kind of faith" (my line, not James').

Just a thought.

As long as they don't rape, steal, murder, or do anything seriously bad, then I think they're fine. After all, Jesus was human too.

Then it would seem to me that you have accepted that you are a sinner, and in that case no, you will not be going to heaven.

However as I understand it, Christians have a nifty device where they pray for forgiveness, and through some eternal love are granted it.

The only thing God punishes for is not believing. So if that person is a believer then they will go to Heaven.

Wow. The Bible does state that "few" will enter Heaven. Many will seek the broad wide path to destruction.

8 people were saved in the Great Flood. God doesn't bend on His own rules. And we should respect Him completely.

To simple "believe" in Jesus will land you right in Hell. You cannot live the way you want. The world is a very dirty and perverse place. God will not have you unless you throw away this life for Him.

How do you do that?

The only way to Him is through his commands. You open the Holy Bible and you study it like it's your life purpose, AND IT IS!! You know it inside and out. And more importantly, you FOLLOW it without compromise. If you hit a possible detour from a law, then take the safe road. Many in this world debate and look for reason to throw away certain laws. They are fools. Never take a chance on your salvation. Give up something. Keep the laws!! It's not easy to do. And it's IMPOSSIBLE to do if you live "of" this world. God expects us to walk the walk of a sinless life. That is what being saved is about. Only then will He wrap himself around us. Would you want to wrap yourself around a dirty person? Make them get clean! Become sin free and stay that way! And don't let any pastors or anyone else tell you differently. It's a lie if they do.

They will be judged and rewarded for what they had done in life, regardless of their religion. Jesus provides an easy way, to be a loving person but so do other religions.

If you go through life, being a general douchebag.. you are going to end up on the short end of the stick, but not likely in hell. If you deny love and truth(the holy ghost), and what it represents with full knowledge of what it represents and what it is, you are willfully separating yourself from God.

If a person truly accepts Jesus Christ, he/she will not be living for what he/she wants, but rather what Christ would do. It's quite simple. A person will always be known by what she dos and who she associates with. The same is true with Christ. His influence is obvious. If not, then the person is NOT truly converted.

Jesus answered that right in the word of God when someone asked a similar questions. "It is not he who calls me Lord, Lord but he who does the will of my Father that will enter the gates of heaven." So no. God hates sin and no one nor nothing that is tainted with sin can enter heaven. Our sin must be put under the Blood of the Lamb of God and kept there so that God sees us through his Son's sacrifice on the cross when he looks at us. No one is perfect on this earth so we will stumble and slip but Jesus had a saying he told everyone he healed and talked to and that was "GO and SIN NO MORE." That was his command to everyone including us. If your heart is following Jesus then you will quit sin and you will want to quit sin because you love Him so sin will be a thing of the past for you as you mature in Christ in your Christian walk. If we come under conviction then it will lead to repentance and then change and growth as a Chrsitian. If we are truly repentant and sorry for something we just simply do not go and commit it again. If we are continuing to redo a sin we claim we are sorry for then it was not genuine sorrow. For example if you caught me in a lie and then I said I was sorry but told you anther lie you can bet that the only reason I was sorry was because I got caught in the lie and not because I hurt you for lying to you. Therefore I wasn't really sorry for that sin but only sorry that I was found out. Hope that helps you understand.

No one goes to heaven because there is no such thing as an afterlife.
