If someone says they can get you on the "guest list" at the Comedy Store in

Hollywood, what does that mean? A person from the hotel we are staying at said that they would get us on the "guest list" at the Comedy Store in Hollywood. I am too embarrassed to ask what exactly this means. Do we still wait in line? Do we still get there early for the show? Any info for this particular venue?
 
It means you get IN. People on the guest list get in first, while others have to wait for an available table.

Comedy Store, especially the Main Room, is FAMOUS for some of the best comedy anywhere.
 
The"Guest List" is a list of preferred patrons. Be weary of such claims. Many will say they can get you in, but very few are actually able to come through.
