Hi, I live at a house located at the corner of a country road and often during the winter snowmobiles cut across the yard. So I'm wondering if one of them would wreck or hit one the railroad ties next to my driveway would I be responsible for their stupidity?
No, but to be on the safe side, post a No trespassing sign in your yard. People can try to sue for anything, don't mean it will be taken seriously by a judge.
In view of some of the absolutely stupid judgments by certain members of the judiciary I would recommend that you install the orange safety fencing across any areas where snowmobiles might travel and risk damage to machine or rider along with signs alternating between 'NO Trespassing" and "NO Snowmobiling" just to cover your derriere!
