Your socks reeked and looked literally slimey and told you Id never let anything that digusting come NEAR my feet and I fell asleep at your house for the night...what would you do?
If we were hanging out at your house and I complained that...?

I would not tell you off even though I'd really want to because that is just plain rude you can think it or say it in a different not so harsh way.
Well during the onslaught of insults I would give as good as I got and make a joke out of it - nothing wrong with playful banter.
If they fell asleep, my actions would depend on several factors; what is my relationship to them? how well do I know them? do I fancy them? am I drunk? Depending on the answers, I would either drape the offending garments on their face and take photos for provenance, or I would do nothing except cover them with a duvet and make sure they were comfy - or something inbetween.
