I had my appendix removed on Wed (3 days ago), and obviously it still hurts to hold my child (a 23 lb 11 month old)... my husband won't let me pick him up AT ALL, but I am wondering, if you were in a similar situation, how soon could you resume normal 'parenting'? like picking them up/dealing with unintentional kicks to the gut??
